About The Village of Paciano
Paciano is a medieval hillside village dating from the thirteenth century.   It is located in Umbria (Provence of Perugia) near the border with Tuscany.  Today you can still see and touch the medieval walls that encircle the historic center of the village.   Our apartment is located within the historic center which comprises three gates and three tiny streets interlinked by many alleyways.

Nestled within and in the immediate vicinity, are two bars, two restaurants, a butcher, a grocery store, a pharmacy, post office, a small theater, hair dresser, activities center and a bancomat (money machine).  There are 2 wonderful restaurants in the town and several additional only a few kilometers away.  Churches in and around the town feature significant Renaissance paintings and frescoes.  The drive to the village will take you through 4km of picture postcard scenery with rolling hills, isolated farmsteadsand cypress trees.

Situated 329 metres above sea level and surrounded by olive groves, walnut forest and the Monte Pausillo National Park,
Paciano is an ideal base for rambling, mountain biking, water sports and importantly, sampling the delights of Umbrian rural cuisine.
